How to Prep Botanicals
If you buy my Betta Botanicals and the label inside the package says "Preparation Required" then you need to follow the below steps, as this prep method ensures any potential contaminates stay out of your aquarium.
1) Rinse botanicals under hot tap water for a minute or so
2) Boil all botanical material for 5-10 minutes in fresh tap water
3) Drain and strain your botanicals, discarding the old water
4) Boil or soak your botanicals in fresh dechlorinated water until water logged. This second batch of water is safe for use in the aquarium along with the water logged botanicals
**Potential contaminants could range from anything such as dirt, dust, or any materials which might come into contact with the products in nature or in the shipping process. I batch test all materials in my own aquarium before selling to ensure its highest quality and safety**
